     WHY Brazilian JIU-JITSU?

  • One in six people will be the victim of a violent attack.
  • One in four women will be the victim of a sexual attack in their lifetime.
  • 95% of all violent attacks and street fights end up on the ground.
  • 10% of victims of violent attacks do not survive the encounter.

Now for the good news, you DO NOT have to be a victim. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the only self-defense system in the world that effectively deals with self-defense on the ground. It doesn’t matter if you’re a man, woman, or child, nor does it matter if you are small, weak, strong, or “over the hill,” Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will give you the tools to defend yourself in a real world attack.

Founder Professor Helio Gracie is the mastermind behind Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. At 135 lbs. Grandmaster Helio modified the traditional jiu-jitsu to work based on technique and leverage rather than speed and strength. He is the father of the famous Ultimate Fighting Champion Royce Gracie.

Testimonials:

"Professor LeBrun is the best asset Fredericksburg has to offer both on the mat and off!"
-Aaron Jacobson

I have been a student of Professor LeBrun’s for over 5 years and I can say with a smile that I have gained self confidence, improved my health and general well being beyond my wildest expectations.  I have done all of this while making life long friendships and learning one of the greatest arts of self defense.

As a former collegiate athlete, I am always looking for new ways to stay fit and challenge myself. Training at the Lab does just that. The excellent instruction provided by Chad LeBrun, the life values he instills in all of his students and the great group of guys who train at THE LAB collectively help to create an environment unlike anything I've ever experienced. The Lab has changed my life in so many ways.
