What People Say

A Special Thanks

Since I have started Jiu-Jitsu I have met so many people that have helped me along the way and I just wanted to thank them.  First are my Instructors, which include Paul Creighton, Jacare´ Cavalcanti, Renzo Gracie, Matt and Nick Serra, Lloyd Irvin, and Leo Dalla.  I feel very honored and privileged to have been a student of these men. They have helped me in more ways then they will ever know.   Not only sharing their jiu-jitsu technique with me but in helping me become a better person.  The values they have instilled in me are kindness, compassion, and dedication.  These men have all been like a father figure to me and I truly am thankful to have been and alwaysh be their student in this great art of Jiu-Jitsu.  In the path of Jiu-Jitsu you truly learn a lot about yourself.    I am not perfect but each day I try to treat people with kindness and compassion that my instructors have shown me.  Jiu-Jitsu is the most humbling thing I have ever done.  It teaches you that what ever your goal with hard work and practice you can achieve it.

I also want to thank my training partners, which are to numerous to mention.  They have helped me tremendously and I am thankful.  Jiu-Jitsu is an individual sport, but without good training partners it is hard to excel.  Many of my training partners have become great friends and I am thankful to have met them.  The bond you create with someone after training with them day in and day out cannot be broken.  The brotherhood you create with these people to me is priceless.

I would also like to thank my students.  I feel very fortunate to have such as great group of students.  I have learned a lot from them.  I used to just want to be a fighter and had no desire to teach, but I am glad I could share my technique with others and watch them grow as martial artists.  It truly is a great feeling.

The last group of people I would like to thank is my family.  I truly owe them everything.  My family has always been very important to me. The love they give me is the best gift ever.  I tell my students you have two families, your immediate family and your Jiu-Jitsu family.  I am thankful for both of them.

            Sincerely,

                        Chad LeBrun
